Is it possible for a technical team to uplift the film to a great level? There are many such examples in Indian cinema. This one ‘Kinaare’ makes such strong effort in cinematography and music and give a good lift to the film.

Abhishekh Kasargod best work in cinematography is impeccable and Abhiram drone camera work leaves a feeling that Computer Graphic work has been done for the film. It is not so. Abhishekh and Abhiram jugalbandi gives a fine treat to a poignant story in ‘Kinaare’.

Shot extensively in the coastal areas, the lush greenery, hill top, coastal areas, top angles, the natural locations etc are a beauty to watch.

Surendranath has also not fallen behind in his musical compositions. There are three lilting tunes from this new music composer. He has a long way in career to proceed.

The technical win on the one side director Devaraj Poojary has given an offbeat story to the film. It is far away from the regular formula films. A coastal area is affected with rare disease as the pregnant women were given expired medicines. This has a grave impact on the children born.

Nearly dozen plus children as they grow are still immature and cuts a sorry figure. In such a pathetic situation the medical camp to treat the abnormal mindset works out to some extent. In this camp is the daughter Meera (Gauthami Jadav) of a village head and down trodden hero Ranga (Satish) of the film. The innocence later transforms in to friendship and love in the later stages is a typical case.

The priest in the village has made a forecast to the village head that in case his daughter marries it will be disaster in his life.

As the election is fast approaching and village head (Dinesh Mangaluru) not ready to cope up with the situation of his daughter in love orders for a hired killer team to finish off.

What happens next is interesting part of this film ‘Kinaare’ that is protracted in screenplay. The film is cut by twenty minutes it will be a crisp treat.

Satish and Gauthami have lived up to the expectations. Shamanth Shetty changing from villain to good nature is convincing. Apeksha as nurse in the medical camp is quite OK. The tussle in performance is seen in Dattanna and Dinesh Mangaluru characters.
